Speed

First advertised in November of 1947, The Speed was a lightweight 2.2hp (at 2,500rpm) single cylinder water-cooled outboard said to be produced by Davey's Auto Services of 583 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne, Victoria.

The earliest models featured a cast aluminium cowl with inbuilt fuel tank and a flip lid that gave access to the rope sheave for starting.

By 1951 several subtle changes had been made to component parts. In addition, the  SPEED also received a new fuel tank design.
